Logging Into, Modifying and Saving the Configuration
- Open your web browser and type in the following address in
the location bar: http://192.168.0.1 (or whatever you
may have changed the default IP address to) and press enter.
- Click on the "Login to the web-based management module" button.
- Type in the username and the password for the modem.
The default username is: admin
The default password is: admin
Click OK.
- Click the "Connection Type" entry on the left side of the browser
window.
- Change the "Encapsulation Protocol" to Router with RFC1483.
- Click OK. Then click OK again when nhe notice window pops up.
- Click the "Save Changes" entry on the left side of the browser window.
- Click the "Save Configuration" button, then click the "Restart" button
and wait for the "Login to the web-based management module" button to re-appear.
- If the page asks for a username and password again, refer to step 3 then
continue to step 10. If it does not, skip this step and continue to step 10.
- You should be presented with a screen asking for a static IP address.
- You can type in the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway which were
assigned to you on your ADSL data sheet in this packet.
- Click OK. Then click OK again when nhe notice window pops up.
- Click the "DHCP Configuration" entry on the left side of the browser
window.
- Add the "DNS Server IP" of 216.129.224.1
- Click OK. Then click OK again when nhe notice window pops up.
- Click the "Save Changes" entry on the left side of the browser window.
- Click the "Save Configuration" button, then click the "Restart" button
and wait for the "Login to the web-based management module" button to re-appear.
Congratulations! You are now done configuring your D-Link DSL-504 Single
Port ADSL modem.
