Setting Up the PC

Before you can get into your new VisionNet 202er single port modem, you will need to have the computer's ethernet interface to be set up for DHCP, **OR** you will have to set up a static IP address.

Use the following address information if setting up a static IP in the computer's ethernet interface:

IP ADDRESS: 10.0.0.9
SUBNET MASK: 255.0.0.0
GATEWAY: 10.0.0.2

PRIMARY DNS: 216.129.224.1
SECONDARY DNS: 216.220.0.1

Logging Into, Modifying and Saving the Configuration

  1. Open your web browser and type in the following address in the location bar: http://10.0.0.2 (or whatever you may have changed the default IP address to) and press enter.

  2. Type in the username and the password for your router.

    The default username is: admin
    The default password is: visionnet

    Click OK.

  3. Click on the "1483 Static IP Router" link on the upper left corner of the browser window.

  4. Type in the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway from your ADSL information package.

    The "Primary DNS Server" should be: 216.129.224.1
    The "Secondary DNS Server" should be: 216.220.0.1

  5. Save the changes by clicking on the "Submit" button.




Congratulations! You are now done configuring your VisionNet 202er Single Port ADSL modem.
