Setting Up the PC

Before you can get into your new VisionNet TW207er-4 wireless four port modem, you will need to have the computer's ethernet interface to be set up for DHCP, **OR** you will have to set up a static IP address.

Use the following address information if setting up a static IP in the computer's ethernet interface:

IP ADDRESS: 10.0.0.9
SUBNET MASK: 255.0.0.0
GATEWAY: 10.0.0.2

PRIMARY DNS: 216.129.224.1
SECONDARY DNS: 216.220.0.1

Logging Into the VisionNet TW207er-4


OK, now that you have your computer set up for DHCP or a static IP address, log in to the VisionNet TW207er-4 wireless four port ADSL modem.

In order to login, open a web browser, (Internet Explorer works best for this), and in the address bar type in the following IP address:

10.0.0.2

After you input the IP address, press the "GO" button or press "ENTER" on your keyboard to access the page. If everything goes as anticipated, you will see a window prompting for username and password. (Above)

At this point in the process, input the username and the password as follows:

USERNAME: admin
PASSWORD: visionnet

After inputting the username and password, simply press the "OK" button. You will be redirected to the default home page of the modem.




After logging into the VisionNet modem's home page, click the "Advanced Setup" link to begin configuring your modem.

Setup


To begin programming the VisionNet TW207er-4 you need to click on the "Edit" button on the right hand side of the window. Please note that you may have to scroll to the right to see this button depending on your computers current resolution. This will begin the setup procedure.




On the ATM PVC Configuration page, make sure that the VPI is set to "0" and the VCI is set to "35". You may also want to make sure that the Service Category is set to "UBR Without PCR". Once finished click "Next".




From the Connection Type page, make sure that the connection is set to "MAC Encapsulation Routing (MER)" and then click "Next"" to continue.




On the WAN IP Settings page there are several options you will need to change.

  1. Use the following IP address:
  2. WAN IP Address: ( IP ASSIGNED BY NEMONT )
    WAN Subnet Mask: ( SUBNET ASSIGNED BY NEMONT )

  3. Use the following default gateway:
  4. Use IP Address: ( GATEWAY ASSIGNED BY NEMONT )

  5. Use the following DNS server addresses:
  6. Primary DNS Server: 216.129.224.1
    Secondary DNS Server: 216.220.0.1
Once you are done configuring what is necessary on the WAN IP Settings page click "Next" to continue.




Everything on the Network Address Translation Settings page should already be correctly configured. However, make sure that the Enable NAT box has a checkmark in it as well as Enable WAN Service. Click "Next" to continue.

Saving All Settings


Now that you are all done configuring your modem to get on the Internet, save the changes to the internal memory so if you were to powercycle, your settings will not be lost. To begin saving the new settings, click the "Save" button on the bottom of the page.

Once you have clicked Save, you will need to restart your modem to make the changes take effect. You can do this by just turning off the power switch on the back of the modem waiting about five seconds, and then turn the power back on.



Congratulations! You are now done configuring your VisionNet TW207er-4 wireless four Port ADSL modem.
