Setting Up the PC

Before you can get into your new VisionNet W203er-4 Wireless 4-Port modem, you will need to have the computer's ethernet interface to be set up for DHCP, **OR** you will have to set up a static IP address.

Use the following address information if setting up a static IP in the computer's ethernet interface:

IP ADDRESS: 10.0.0.9
SUBNET MASK: 255.0.0.0
GATEWAY: 10.0.0.2

PRIMARY DNS: 216.129.224.1
SECONDARY DNS: 216.220.0.1

Logging Into the VisionNet W203er-4

OK, now that you have your computer set up for DHCP or a static IP address, log in to the VisionNet 203er-4 single port ADSL modem.

In order to login, open a web browser, (Internet Explorer works best for this), and in the address bar type in the following IP address.

10.0.0.2

After you input the IP address, press the "GO" button or press "ENTER" on your keyboard to access the page. If everything goes as anticipated, you will see a login screen prompting for username and password. (Above)

At this point in the process, input the username and the password as follows:

USERNAME: admin
PASSWORD: visionnet

After inputing the username and password, simply press the "LOGIN" button. You will be redirected to the default home page of the modem.

After arriving at the VisionNet modem's home page, click the "Quick Start" link at the top left-hand side of the window to begin configuring your modem.

Setup

To begin programing the VisionNet W203er-4 you need to change the connection type. To do this, click the "Type" dropdown menu and select "RFC1483 Static IP". After choosing static, the page will refresh and you should notice that there are more setup requirements now.

When configuring the modem, there are only 5 or 6 locations that need to be modified. They are listed as followed:

IP Address ( IP ASSIGNED BY NEMONT )
Mask ( SUBNET ASSIGNED BY NEMONT )
Default Gateway ( GATEWAY ASSIGNED BY NEMONT )

DNS 1 ( 216.129.224.1 )
DNS 2 ( 216.220.0.1 )
DNS 3 ( 216.220.30.1 ) *not required

Once you are done configuring what is necessary on the setup screen, you must apply those changes by simply pressing the "Apply" button at the bottom of the page.

After pressing "Apply", a message window will pop up stating "You may lose any existing connections in case of incorrect default gateway. Are you sure you want to change the default gateway?" Press the "OK" button on the message window to accept the gateway. After "OK" is pressed, the page will refresh and bring you back to see your saved changes.

You are now done with the Setup and are ready for the next step; saving your new configuration.

Saving All Settings

Now that you are all done configuring your modem to get on the Internet, you need to save the changes to the internal memory so if you were to powercycle, your settings will not be lost. To begin saving the new settings, click the "Save Settings" button on the left side of the setup screen.

At this point, the page will refresh and bring you back to the screen you were on before. (Static IP Setup Page)

After the "Save and Restart" page has loaded, all you need to do is click the "Save All" button in the middle right side of the page. Clicking this button will save your new configuration to the VisionNet W203er-4 ADSL modem's internal memory. So if you were to powercycle your modem after you have saved the configuration, the modem would reboot with your configuration instead of the default configuration.

Congratulations! You are now done configuring your VisionNet W203er-4 Wireless B/G 4-Port ADSL modem.
