The Practicing Futurist

My Forward Swept Wing projects, specifying graphite composites and multiple linked computers, became know as the X-29.

A newer derived system featured in Popular Science November 2000. The article mentions the Grumman X-29 as the forerunner of this one - nicknamed the Switchblade.

The Wings Tucked In Mach 3 picture also reminds me of the D-21 drone that was tested on or launched from the top of the SR-71; except without the smoother chine edges.
