SLUSH CREEKS JUBAL S
TWHBEA#917961
We are proud to announce Jubal
is a Certified
"Heritage Horse"!
Slush Creek's Jubal S is the
product of the late Calvin Millers breeding program. Calvin bred, trained, rode,
and used TWH's for ranch work for 30+ years. "Jubal" was the last stallion
to come off the famed Double Diamond Ranch. Jubal has an exceptionally quiet and
gentle nature with a nice natural running walk and a gorgeous head. He has been
given the nickname ,"The Gentle Giant", by those that have met him in
person. Jubal stands 16.1 hh with the thicker, heavier, using/pleasure horse
body style. It has been said "you just can't beat that Jubal disposition" and
"for size and bone he's the man!" Jubal is a black minimal sabino, we get a
couple of lit up sabinos out of solid mares every year. Jubal LOVES people and
attention, he will leave his broodmare band to get the attention he desires. He
has been ridden away from his mares bareback with only a halter and lead rope
on. Jubal passes on these outstanding qualities to his foals, which makes them a
pleasure to train. Most of his offspring have been trained by their amateur
owners.
Another claim to fame for Jubal
is that the 14 time World Champion,
Hill's Perfection
(his registered name was Reyclif Mid-Merry 561395 and that was not changed, he
was only campaigned as Hills Perfection) will still show on his foals
registration papers. Sun's Merry Man 620157, the only offspring by Hill's
Perfection to reproduce, was owned and stood at the Double Diamond Ranch for
many years. Jubal stands at stud here in Montana, live cover only. The breeding
fee is $350. with a LFG (live foal guarantee by SCW standards is for a foal that
stands and nurses without assistance). We can provide references.

I'll
lend you for a little while my grandest foal, He said.
For you to love while he's alive and mourn for when he's dead.
It may be one or twenty years, or days or months, you see.
But will you, till I take him back watch over him for me?
He'll bring his charms to gladden you, and should his stay be brief
you'll have treasured memories as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught on earth I want this foal to learn.
I've looked the wide world over in my search for teachers true.
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes with trust, I have
selected you.
Now will you give him your total love? Not think the labor vain,
nor hate me when I come to take him back again?
I know you'll give him tenderness and love will bloom each day.
And for the happiness you've known, forever-grateful stay.
But should I come and call for him much sooner than you'd planned
you'll brave the bitter grief that comes and someday you'll
understand.

The Ultimate Bum "Buck" was purchased the summer of 2004 from Lynn Henschell
Stables in Michigan. Buck was purchased for breeding the "Jubal" filly's we have
been holding back for several years. He is smaller is stature than Jubal
standing a flat 15 hh. He has a calm quiet temperament combined with
exceptional conformation and natural ability to do a head nodding walk.
The Ultimate Bum was the TWHBEA Regional Futurity Premier Stallion in 1998. The
majority of his offspring are NOT in the show ring but much loved trail/pleasure
mounts. They are sane, sensible and easy to train with many of his babies
trained by their new owners. Buck also loves people and attention, comes when
called and likes to be groomed and fiddled with. Buck is gentle with the mares
and foals, he both pasture and hand breeds. Buck has NO Ebony Masterpiece
breeding. He is a product of the late J. Mac Carter's breeding program. Mr.
Carter was a prominent breeder from Murphreesboro, TN. He was known for breeding
such horses as the 1973 World Grand Champion, Delight Bummin' Around.
