Daily feeding in the Word is so important. This is how we continue in spiritual vitality. Just as we need to eat in the natural to keep up our strength (unless instructed to fast for a season), so we also need regular daily meals spiritually.  There are many ways to accomplish this. May we suggest one way? In the morning I like to read from the New Testament, Psalms, Proverbs, and in the evening from the Old Testament.   This gives a good overview, Make it methodical going from chapter to chapter, book to book. For extra study the Lord may quicken you to do a word study or a topical study. But on a daily basis it is well to keep the readings consecutive as you were reading a good book. This way we receive the ideas of the verses in their proper context.  The reason for a Psalm a day is that they are a good take-off point in a time of worship to the Father.  The Proverbs impart wisdom. We all need that!  The New Testament is for the church today—that’s you and me!  The gospels Jesus gave us lots of instruction and His very life is our example.  The Old Testament gives more examples to us, as well as faith, building testimonies of divine deliverance and protection and correction for God’s chosen people

The Bible is the Word of God:
Supernatural in origin, eternal in duration
Inexpressible in valor, infinite in scope
Regenerative in power, infallible in authority
Universal in interest, personal in application
            Inspired in totality.

Read it through, write it down, pray it in, work it out, and then pass it on.

            By Smith Wigglesworth

The prayers and confessions are compiled by the Word Training Center to bless the body of Christ.  I wrote some, but I do not know the names of the writers of all of them or even remember where I got most.  My intent is to get these out to be a blessing and learning tool in your walk with Jesus.  Pray them then as it says in Heb. 4:14b “let us hold fast our confession.”  Pastor Randy Mattern
